Where: Lake Raleigh, NC
Who is this outing for?: All ages and all families
What does registration include?: Registration does include a little introduction to SUP with an instructor and all equipment needed (excluding kids lifejackets).
For Take A Child Outside week, we are hosting a couple family Stand Up Paddle sessions for you and your kiddos to paddle. This initiative is near and dear to our family as we've worked with kids in our outdoor careers and seeing less and less children spending their free time outside.
You may have seen some of our social media with the statistic that the average American spends 93% of their life indoors (a study done by the EPA). If that's a current stat, imagine what it may be in 5 years, 10 years, or 15 years.
So, try paddleboarding with your kiddos! Start changing this stat now and do something fun and exciting with your family to create beautiful memories.
This outing starts at 2:00 pm with a little instruction before hitting the water with all the families. We'll paddle around together as a group, however, all families may paddle at their own pace to get the hang of paddling together, too.
Kids under 6 are free and you don't need to register them for a board as they will be paddling with a parent/guardian. Kids 7 and older can paddle by themselves and will need to be registered. We don't currently have kids lifejackets and they must be worn in order to be on the water by NC law.
