Summer Camp Cocktails

After a long day of playing in the outdoors, nothing is better than relaxing by the fire with a cold drink in your hand. Whether you’re out with just your partner or having a gathering with friends, try these refreshing cocktails to wind down your evening.

Strawberry Peach Sangria

This is a fruity beverage that you can mostly make at home before heading to your campsite. We placed all the alcohol in this large mason jar, and then you can add the fruit and lemon-lime soda before you serve.

  1. A bottle of white wine

  2. 1/2 cup white rum

  3. 1/4 cup Peach Schnapps

  4. 1/8 cup strawberry simple syrup (we cut up fresh strawberries the day before and added sugar to them, then put them the fridge until we made this batch of sangria)

  5. 1 cup fresh cut strawberries

  6. 1 peach sliced

  7. Lemon-lime soda to top off each glass

Combine wine, rum, peach schnapps, and strawberry simple syrup in a large pitcher or large resealable jar. Refrigerate or place in cooler until ready to serve. Before serving, add sliced strawberries and peach to container. Serve in glass, make sure to serve with fruit, and top off with soda to add carbonation and taste.

Whiskey Lemonade

That bite of whiskey mixed with the sweet-sour taste of lemon makes for a wonderful summer cocktail. You could pre-mix the whiskey, triple sec, and lemon juice in a resealable container to pack with you before heading to your campsite.

  1. 1.5 shots of whiskey

  2. 1 shot Triple Sec

  3. 1 shot lemon juice

  4. Lemon-lime soda to top off glass

In a shaker, combine whiskey, triple sec, and lemon juice with ice. Shake well and pour into glass. Top glass off with soda for carbonation and taste.

The best camp cocktails are the ones that are easy to make and that don’t have a lot of ingredients making it easy to pack. Yes you can always bring a beer or a bottle of wine, but sometimes you just need a little something extra to make your trip special.

Cheers! And, we’ll see y’all out there!
